Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been conceptualized in today’s world as a threat to the global technology over the power control and human evolution. The politics of procrastinating AI has been majorly forecasted in terms of contradicting the overall concept of technology which will be controlling the future and humans. The conditioning is grooming with the global concept of the world domination by machine that are so smart that it will take control all over. One thing that we are not realizing is, AI is already here working its way in the system and managing our information in various form of big data. This needs to be understood and further worked on about understanding the overall AI status and position in our lives.
From Google assistant to Alexa to Siri to others are not only software that are smart, but they are part of internet of things, home automation system that are capable of listening and understanding our communication process and performing actions accordingly. These developments are part of the AI evolution. These technologies not only testify that these technologies are taking control over our life, but we are getting limited to the digital world.
Let me ask you a question how is that the network and technologies are getting faster in terms of how information is characterized and feed to you. These technologies provide better services and facilities with the help of arrays of algorithms that are not only smart but are very complex in terms of their logic understanding. They are getting smarter and can take decisions that is the reason why we have a better technology and system maintenance. It has not just happened in a day or two, block by block technology by technology things have coordinated and created the concept of system so perfect.
#AIGovernance has been a question of existence as for developing nation where they are struggling and managing the digital space. The question of #AI is daunting but unknowingly AI may just be a system but it is more smarter than the logical terms.
From the example, today we can evidently see AI is currently used and managed by tech giants like Facebook, google, Microsoft, uber, tesla and many other big organizations. The google search engine with its profiling capacity and data, niches down everything from your needs to your behavior creating your virtual profile throwing back your desired information and results. Facebook in the other hand has been very proactive in terms of understanding the user behavior in terms of evolving and predicting various marketing features and devising new application of interpretation the data. Similarly, other example can be the auto driving feature which has been hugely criticized and has seen some of the tragic results and still it’s in the process of evolving perfecting the errors.
With all the practice that is around us what we can assume is AI is not a bad technology or AI is not evolving to control the system over the human evolution. AI is what we call the fear of future where even in the past internet was revered as a bad technology and today its one of the best means of communication and has changed the human evolution.
The major concern should be more towards developing a better mechanism in terms of AI governance and how we can create better core values to sustain it within human values.

AI needs core values that are based on the human values and ethics. AI should have limitation that helps it to grow beyond the technology but under the values of Humanity.
I strongly believe that technology can be subjected to harsh perspective of being good or bad. It’s the people involved who are good or bad. Technology is never subjected to discrimination. It’s the human deficiencies of control, greed, politics and manipulation that makes it discriminatory and differentiating.
In fact, what we need to see is how the people behind and their values are affecting technology like AI in shaping the world. Taking an example of Facebook, it faced its issue as the technology was not controlling but the people behind were trying to manipulative and ignorant about the privacy issue. I see the overall concept of harvesting data to create a long chain of AI manipulated system that would help Facebook generate business opportunity rather than any other policy.
How facebook uses AI ?
- Creating your profile of choice and preference by evaluating your data and activities
- To identify content that are harmful (nude, porn, threats, fake, terrorism)
- Developing various smart applications like facial recognition
- Preventing suicidal tendency
The major problems for AI are the dynamics of inequalities and digital divide that provides a lot of externalities to play. Like in today’s world when we talk about mutistakeholder just like that we need to simply cover the base for AI so that it can be worked on a simpler way giving space for its growth and collaboration.
In AI the Data are proprietary & social audit can be a tool to keep the system check in balance but ultimately it comes down to Profit. Companies are creating algorithms in view of generating & capturing data where AI is self-independent with the proposed intention.
AI is more complex and competitive than any other concept that we humans have ever seen. It is developed for helping people with the hope and trust to create a better world, better technology and to give scope for evolution. Limiting it now with specific laws can be contrasting as we have not even seen a fraction of the work than can be done. AI needs to evolve with better governance concept and core values so that it can achieve its goals.
Like coin has two sides, AI has its side of machine controlling as a threat, so we must work more towards creating awareness about good human values in those coders, engineers and professionals who are creating those codes and algorithms. As it directly affects their way of thinking and their concept that they incorporate. They need to work on these human values, so they incorporate it in the AI values.
As smart as the technology itself if the core values are stronger there will be nothings defeating it and it will have a soul motive to protect, save and help humans than taking control over it.
Even today internet is believed in the overall concept of TRUST, so these human values need to aspire the values for evolution process than limiting the technology with threats.
