After weeks of protest and demonstration, the  Federal Alliance(FA) is planning to start a relay hunger strike from 7 am to 7 pm everyday, from June 7 to July 15, in Kathmandu valley. The Program would include various cultural and literary performances that would further be intensified and expanded in various parts of the country.

The FA is an alliance of over two dozen parties protesting against the Constitution promulgated by the Constituent Assembly in September last year and  has been demanding the  rewriting of the Constitution .  The Alliance has also been demanding  major changes regarding the identity and rights of Madhesi and indigenous people.

Last years Nepal Blockade was part of their protest program where they enter into a collaboration with the government in finding a solution but after the government turning a bind eye to their demands,  they have threatened to start the agitation again.
