Kathmandu  March 17, 2012: With high controversy of Maoists government  mismanaging the peace process and its People Liberation Army(PLA) Funds a new controversy has come up front with the issue of its credibility. The Maoists lead government has decided to issue NRS 20 Million to Mt. Everest Expedition team lead by Maoists Supremo Prachanda’s son Prakash Dahal. The team which is named is supported by 11-members team  including Prakash Dahal, Saral Sahayatri Paudel (PLA brigade commanders ), Yuvaraj Dulal, Shiva Dangi, Maheshwor Phuyal, Madan Chudal, Dinesh Shrestha, Bina Magar, Ishu Bhattarai and few of the ex-bodyguards of Prachanda.

The decision came in controversy as soon as the Baburam’s cabinet meeting forwarded the order to release the money to the team on Friday morning. With high controversy it has been rumored that the government was pressurized to issue NRS 30 Million where only NRS 20 Million was sanctioned. To make matter more flexible the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation has already agreed to waive the total mountaineering royalty of $110,000 for the team.

In a situation when the country is going through tough times of lack of basic necessity and infrastructure the government mismanaging the resources is a question to the credibility of the Maoists lead Government. A simple question is that in a recent incident a boy from a remote village was not allowed to give his SLC examination in absence of lack of funds for his tuition fee. Is it valid for the government to issue such big amounts for such purpose of public stunts for an individual party when there are important uses to the priority of funds? Is it ethically right to issue funds for such activities in context of own party.

A question to My dear Prime minister if you can answer this you will have the right to stand and look at people’s but if you don’t then you have no rights to use Public money for the popularity stunt of the own party.
