State Minister Saroj Yadav misbehaving against the staff of Bir hospital and Media person

Kathmandu March 19, 2012: Saroj Yadav State Minister for Health was accused of misbehaving with the emergency staff of Bir Hospital and few journalists around 10 PM Sunday. It is reported that he was drunk and in his state of intoxication he threatened to fire the chancellor and all the staff for not being present there. In this scuffle he also manhandled one photo journalist.

On Monday, the trade unions of the hospital have demanded an apology within 24 hours. Following that the hospital administration has also complained the case to Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai.

On contrary, Minister Yadav said, “I was not drunk and it has been wrongly intreperted that I was drunk on Sunday night and I did not misbehave nor was there any intention. I was there with my mother in-law who was brought to the hospital from Birgunj after a brain hemorrhage and there was no doctor to attend at that hour so I was pissed. I asked them to call the chief duty officer where instead they called the media and the ordeal happened.”

With such cases, it certainly highlights the example of bad political culture and how our leaders are, its high time when we voice against it.
