Kathmandu, Nepal Aug 20, 2012:  The Magsaysay Award winner of 2007, Mahabir Pun has started a new project under the name of Mahabir’s Center for Nepal Connection.  The project focuses on small enterprises in Myagdi and Kathmandu which  empowers the local people and uses local resources.

According to Mahabir Pun, “There is so much possibility everywhere but we fail to recognize this, if proper efforts are done then anything and everything is possible. Nepal Connection in this regard serves as an umbrella organization to organize different revenue generation activities using local resources.”

Annapurna Dhaulagiri Community, Eco Treks, Yak Farms, Cheese Factory, Trekking Lodges, Paper Industry, Restaurants etc are some of the examples of the organizations exploration. Similarly, Nepal wireless project has been serving the entire rural communities in Myagdi and in other 14 different district of Nepal. The organization is planning to expand its periphery to small hydro power station.

The Nepal Connection has only few members where Mahabir Pun is the president, Anil Chitrakar, Megh Ale, Saurav Dhakal are the members and Kishor Rimal is the General Manager.
