Officially counting the death toll to 6,000 and many more to recover, the Government of Nepal is currently facing huge challenge in losing its credibility among its people.

Due to lack of proper management and networking channels the rescue operation have nearly come to an end. With high controversies and rumors surrounding, Nepal government is lagging hugely in its rescue, relief, and rehabilitation.

With such conditions, youths both individuals and group have been working at various levels in support the relief operation with new energy.
Prakash majhi, a volunteer in badegau said, “We do not want anything, all we want is to serve the country. Right now is not the time to discuss what is right and what is wrong. Right now is the time to help and step up to work by example. Our government is not doing what its support to. The slow rescue operation and the mismanaging relief operation are very good examples of what this government is doing?”

“There are high rumors that the government is depressing the international rescue teams and slowing custom processing of the rescue materials to discourage the individual relief operation, “added he.

The April 25th 7.8 rector scale that hit the nation with an epicenter in Barpak village of Gorkha district has compiled an immediate relief efforts of USD$200 million.
Rohit Chand, a native living in abroad said, “I am hugely disappointed by the government’s decision of banning independent relief operation, the government cannot do this alone. If it thinks it can discourage people in main streaming the funding then it’s completely wrong. The government has done nothing till date. If you look at the current work force we have more than 0.1 million army and following that other security forces still the government could not manage the rescue and relief operation. The government only wants fund that too directed to its accounts which highlights its objective.”

Issuing a notice the District Administration Office (DAO) has banned Independent relief efforts from Friday. Only registered people and groups who have the authority from the DAO can distribute relief materials that too in limited areas as prescribed by the DAO.
