President Bidya Devi Bhandari in a formal event on Saturday Kathmandu after nine months of ordeal. The 7.9 Ritcher scale earthquake killed nearly 9,000 people and damaged property worth 513 Billion.

With the formal inauguration of the reconstruction campaign, the Reconstruction Authority will be the definite body to handle the reconstruction process for the government.

The project aims to target rebuilding around 1 million quake-ravaged houses and infrastructure.

The Nepal Government has been hugely criticized for spending 27 billion just for the resettlement process. In view of lack of transparency and credibility a lot of Donor countries have withdrawn their promised aid in view of the lack of efficiency and effectiveness.
