Public Governance Nepal

Public Governance is the concept of providing maximum services and facilities to the public in a more effective and efficient way.  Its a more dynamic concept of addressing the issues of public cooperation and creating favorable environment of public participation in a more multistakeholder environment.

If you look at the current practice of Nepal and its various government departments its really shocking and amazing about how much pressure and frustration a person has to face in-terms of getting public service in Nepal. The situation is pathetic where there is no customer service, Long lines, corruption, syndicate of agents, favoritism etc. These  are some of the examples of traits of public Governance of Nepal which are inevitable. Its always been like this and things have not changed, the only things that works is either you should be ready to fight or  raise your voice or else its just waiting for your turn in a never ending crowd.

More or less things are getting worst as after the declaration of Nepal as the Federal Democratic  Republic of Nepal, the political ambition of people has increased tremendously. Everywhere and in every field people carry the burden of their political ambition that pushes them  with specific motives, its all about politics. people are ready to fight and die instead of creating favorable scenario of public governance which is really intimidating.

Apart from this, the political ambition is so much in control that even at leadership position appointments of leadership are made as per political manipulation and influence which certainly is the rule of the game but the difference is its not based on the capacity or education. Its based on the political ambition where uneducated person rules in  to a group of highly educated and intellectual people. In view of this assumption Nepal is further sinking in the quick sand of gender tussle where right people at the right position has been a joke. A woman President, A woman chairman at the parliament but the main question is are they deserving? who is going to be accountable to the public for the decision made.

The political parties the people who are selected or the public who supported such kinds of mentality.

The bureaucracy of Nepal which is suppose to work independently is also fully influenced by the political aspirations. From development work to providing services, the public are at the apathy of low grade political values and intuition.  They are bound to suffer from paying tax to buying daily commodity goods to public services and facilities.
