Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) will distribute petrol and diesel to private vehicle in accordance to the upcoming festival Dashain. It was announced that private vehicle specifically four wheelers would be given 15 liters and two wheelers would be given 5 liters of petrol. From early morning lines were seen in major petrol pumps all over the Kathmandu.

A total of 125 petrol stations in the Valley would be distributing petrol.

The NOC has been controlling the flow of petroleum products following the invisible blockade imposed by India on Nepal resulting in a widespread of fuel shortage.

In a normal day, the daily consumption of petrol and diesel in Kathmandu Valley stands at around 350,000 liters and 450,000 liters respectively.
