Internet Society Announces fellowship for WTDC 2017

The Internet Society (ISOC) has announced fellowship four (4) Fellowships to ISOC Members to participate in WTDC-17. Applications will be assessed by a Selection Committee comprised of three (3) ISOC Staff Members and three (3) Chapter Members. Once the Committee is formed the names of the Selection Committee will be published in the Fellowship section on ISOC’s WTDC-17 site, states a press release.

The ITU World Telecommunication Development Conference 2017(WTDC-17), is schedule for October 9-20 in Buenos Aires, Argentina with the theme “ICT for Sustainable Development Goals” – ICT④SDGs.
It will be preceded by six regional preparatory meetings, two in the last quarter of 2016 and four in the first quarter of 2017, starting in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), then Africa, Arab States, Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.

WTDCs set the strategies and objectives for the development of telecommunication/ICT, providing future direction and guidance to the ITU Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D).
